Drone Photography and Video Services
We have outlined our standard operational procedures below:
1. Initial Project Information Required
To facilitate an accurate assessment and quotation for your drone photography and videography or drone survey , we kindly request the following details:
- The precise location of the proposed shoot, including a full postcode.
- Your preferred or provisional shoot date(s).
- A comprehensive brief detailing your objectives for the aerial photography and/or videography, including any specific subjects, angles, or deliverables you require.
2. Comprehensive Site Survey & Feasibility Assessment
Upon receipt of your project information, we will conduct an initial office-based online site survey. This preliminary assessment allows us to:
- Determine the feasibility of the aerial operation.
- Identify any potential flight restrictions or necessary permissions (e.g., airspace limitations, local authority consents).
- Evaluate other external factors that may influence the shoot.
For larger or more complex projects, where aerial operations may form a component of a broader production, our adherence to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) licensing terms necessitates a thorough pre-flight survey. This may include a physical site visit to ensure all operational parameters are fully understood and mitigated. Our proactive planning aims to minimise potential disruptions, acknowledging that each project is unique and subject to various external influences.
3. Booking Confirmation & Deposit
Following a positive outcome from our site survey and feasibility assessment, Wiltshire Drone will issue a formal quotation. This document will include a detailed brief of the proposed shoot, provisional date(s), and a transparent breakdown of costs.
Should our quotation meet your approval, we may arrange a final physical site visit to discuss any outstanding arrangements or specific operational nuances.
A provisional booking will be held. The shoot date(s) will be formally confirmed upon our receipt of a 25% deposit of the total quoted fee.
4. Weather Contingency Policy
We diligently monitor the weather forecast for your designated shoot location five days in advance of the scheduled date. If adverse weather conditions are anticipated, we will initiate communication with you at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled shoot.
At this point, we will collaborate with you to reschedule the shoot to the next mutually suitable date at no additional cost, and your booking deposit will be transferred accordingly. We acknowledge that weather is an inherent business risk in the UK and strive to maintain maximum flexibility to facilitate necessary rescheduling.
However, if the shoot cannot be re-scheduled due to factors entirely beyond our control (e.g., immovable live event schedules, critical client personnel unavailability), the initial deposit paid to Wiltshire Drone will be non-refundable.
Should both parties elect to proceed with the original date despite a forecast of inclement weather, our certified pilots will remain on-site for the maximum feasible duration, in anticipation of a suitable break in conditions.
5. Cancellation Policy
Should the client cancel a confirmed shoot within seven (7) days of the scheduled date, the 25% deposit will be non-refundable.
